A Policeman in Mexico gets a call over his radio about reports of a UFO Craft coming down near his patrol car where they record the event on the cars video. They searched for the craft but found nothing.
Interesting, isn’t it--the ongoing denial of Global Warming by a loud but dwindling number of Bushites in Congress and other places of power?
I believe more than anything in the ability of science to find out the truth around these issues. I know the peer review process works.
The overwhelming evidence is we are contributing to global warming in a serious way.
Of course there’s always room for debate, but when you have so many peer-reviewed papers agreeing on a single conclusion, you have to go with the consensus. Scientists have egos --and in this era of diminishing pure-science research and hyper-specialization-- scientists also have closely-guarded specialties.
It’s this combination that has devolved into a vast system of protectionism --an institutional protectionism whose basic response to anomaly or controversy is silence. In the case of Global Warming, we’ve just witnessed how this institutional silence can be decades long…despite masses of evidence to the contrary.
So, given all those egos, protectionism and institutionalized silence, scientists from all specialty areas consensing on Global Warming, it’s got to be a first! A real anomaly!
And that’s why I keep reminding myself to highlight the difference between pure science…and scientists.
I can’t help but notice how the larger group of scientists have managed to maintain the other kind of consensus --consensus by total silence-- on the UFO question.
But despite the scientific community’s desperate consensus of silence, UFOs have stood against the best debunking campaign in the world…and still they remain unidentified.
Proof of the existence of UFOs is so powerful that it will stand up to any kind of scrutiny. That is, if anyone would spend the money to present the true scope of that proof.
Unfortunately, the more traditional politics of science --which I’m calling silence-- are such that scientists, individually or institutionally, will not allow authentic scientific research on UFOs.
What do I mean by that? Simply this: you can’t get a peer-reviewed paper written on the UFO topic.
Did you know the only peer reviewed paper entertained by the scientific community since1980 was accepted by The Journal Of The British Interplanetary Society on the condition the authors could only use three old, non-contemporary cases?
Does it take a scientist to decode a restriction like that? The BIS Journal paper wasn’t about scientific inquiry. It was about keeping things safe, keeping the domain controlled by grossly limiting scope via the pitiful number of cases examined. I wonder how global warming would have fared if each paper were allowed allow three statistics which the governing body selected.
However, if you think rationally about the subject of the paper below, and the scientific argument that Fermi’s Paradox did not take into account anomalous activities, maybe this, in itself, is evidence that we are being visited.
Fermi’s Paradox: the time has long past since earth should have been visited by other civilizations, in fact by more than thousands a times. So, where are these other civilizations? See the paper:

Fermi was right: there should be evidence.
Well, evidence is here! We call the evidence UFOs, and guess what? They do an amazingly diverse range of things…including things that look like magic to us.
Fermi predicted multiples of advanced civilizations, a hundred times over…Serious, scientific-minded researchers and thinking folks report incredible diversity in both the form and behavior of UFOs. Ditto with the reports on the diversity of UFO inhabitants’ form and behavior.
So, let me ask the key question this way: given all this diversity in form and behavior, couldn’t thoughtful people conclude that this very diversity might represent multiple origins from a variety of technologies, cultures, and worlds?
But what really gets me pissed off is how scientists won’t talk to us, the citizen observers of the UFO phenomenon. It’s more like they talk at us. We all know how that feels. They treat us like idiots. So we ignore them, but they don’t ignore us, because the professional debunking and the derision never stop. Debunking and derision are the only violations of the conspiracy of silence UFO researchers get from our approach to the scientific community.
Here’s my point: there’s plenty of silence on the research and debate front…but plenty of noise on the professional, institutional debunking front.
Anyone --newb or long-time UFO civilian researcher, or honest scientist-- can see that there is great pressure at this time to make sure this subject remains ‘stupidized’. Yet every worthwhile investigation has already proven UFOs exist…unless ‘unidentified’ means something other than we don’t know exactly what it is, or where it came from.
UFOs are real. They EXIST.
They exist because some of the people who view them know, by reason of their expertise, what they are not.

Of UFOs And Global Warming PART Two:The UFOS ARE REAL LIST
No field like ufology for bizarreness and paradox.
As we looked at the paradox created by some in the scientific community’s conspiracy of silence on Global Warming --just broken--and their ongoing conspiracy of silence by the majority on the field of serious UFO research. The paper on inflation theory should be read by all those with an open mind. Here it is again:
Meanwhile let us see if you logically extend Fermi’s basic principle --that anomaly and diversity of planets across the universe of galaxies…are predictive of … an extraordinary range of UFO phenomenon and an equally diverse range of possible UFO origins.

3. UFOs exist because there are a small group of UFO witnesses of such high character, whose lack of selfish motive transcends any possibility of hoax. These same witnesses decades later will make any fair-minded reader, or scientist, give pause on the UFO subject.
4. UFOs exist because dedicated researchers (usually on their own dime) have gone out into the field to secure evidence. Some of that paid off and civilian research organizations of high repute now have soil and other material evidence from UFO trace landing cases.
5. UFOs exist because you can see them in untouched NASA tapes, objects that can not be explained by ice, light, Moon, Sun…or space capsule reflections.
6. UFOs exist because all kinds of pilots --commercial, civilian, and military-- see them and report them.
7. UFOS exists because Astronauts say they exist.
8. UFOS exists because Presidents say they have seen them.
9. UFOS exists because the military has ordered them classified Top Secret for decades.
10. UFOS exists because the majority of the people who witness them video them and photograph them are decent, everyday people --not liars or cheats.
11. UFOS exists because the Debunkers protest too much.
The Most definitive study done one UFOs was done by the French; you know, the guys that said ‘no thank you’ to the invasion of Iraq.
Here’s what their nationally-funded research came up with:
“In its conclusion, COMETA claims that the physical reality of UFOs, under control of intelligent beings, is "quasi-certain." Only one hypothesis takes into account the available data: the hypothesis of extraterrestrial visitors. This hypothesis is of course unproven, but has far-reaching consequences. The goals of these alleged visitors remain unknown but must be the subject of speculations and prospective scenarios.
In its final recommendations, COMETA Report stresses again the need to:
• Inform all decision-makers and persons in positions of responsibility.
• Reinforce means of investigation and study at SEPRA.
• Consider whether UFO detection been taken into account by agencies engaged in surveillance of space.
• Create a strategic committee at the highest state level.
• Undertake diplomatic action with the Unites States for cooperation on this most important question.
• Study measures which might be necessary in case of emergencies.
I welcome and honest balanced well-funded continuing study of UFOs by scientists.

The UFO Religion Part III
UFO Caught In Jet Turbulence:

How do you hide from a world?
Why would ETs produce and maintain an entire apparently non-technological, non-mechanical phenomenon or exhibit outlandish mechanical devices that seem to come right out of B grade moves? Is there a rational explanation which could be applied to intelligence for this behavior? The answer I found was in the words of a song:
“How do you hang on to a dream?” By Tim Hardin.
If you have no recourse but to hide on a world from another planet(s) how would you design a plan to conceal a highly advanced technological civilization(s). Once hidden what type of program would you put in place to make sure a developing intelligent population never catches on.
In my opinion the most effective disinformation campaign ever carried out has been carried out on us.
There is no doubt this phenomenon with “ET” reports has been around at least from the late 1940s. I always use common sense when I approach the UFO subject. For me it is only common sense, that the wisest disinformation campaign any intelligence could wage would be one which is never recognized as such by the intended target. We are a space faring people looking onward and outward and, if we survive, we will develop star flight. So common sense dictates there are others. They should have shown themselves unless…. If these others are here it is obvious they are keeping secret. So what would they do to stay secret? If there is not a metaphysical force why not use it or duplicated it. Believe it or not I think we are comfortable with the mystic universe. It is, after all, familiar and many believe it is just not real. So we have a built in dismissive culture to the mystical. We also display a love for the mystical as entertainment, we call it prestidigitation.
Those of us who do believe in the metaphysical also know intuitively and by our history that this force could never stand up against a good musket; at least not for very long.
Besides ETs displaying actual metaphysical effects to camouflage themselves, there are other less technological ways to confuse. One of the ways “ETs” confuse through disinformation is what I call “Staging”. In its basic form, it is a kind of theater, a play that goes on whenever they’re are around in public; a piece that is added or subtracted to make the report stand out as an illogical puzzle.
I believe Betty and Barney Hill were entertained by part of that play. Why make up a play which has them as what they are “space aliens” just visiting our earth? Well, aliens had become a part of our culture, “reflecting metaphysical icons”, or human hysteria (which ever you believe). The idea is to have no real consistency.
If you are looking for clues to indicate disinformation aimed at a group or groups in our world, think of how the data is strange.
In the Betty and Barny Hill case they had a star chart. On the chart were lines indicating routes to different star systems. One of the lines showed dashes which indicated trade from their home to other star systems. Dashed Lines? Any open-minded scientist would laugh at aliens just happening to use dash lines the odds would seem high. So it is this detail “dashed lines” that you and I may allow a smart mind would wince at which it is aimed at. Of course this was just one incident. I thought discarding the canteen and pocketing the coin in the “Donald Shrum” case highlighted in the Part two of our “The UFO Religion” post was a brilliant example of ‘staging”. These types of “stagings” are perfectly aimed at the human scientific mind and the detail minded. Many UFO researcher note alien to human similarities in their reports and I am not talking physical. This is a form of reverse logic. Scientists know the basis for intelligence is logic; rules that work here work throughout the universe. These visitors break those rules on purpose.
How about the large displays over cities?
This has been part of the metaphysical world since even before Constantine saw a cross in the sky as a sign. Why not include it? It may also be a form of communication to our government. I always considered the 1952 fly over of Washington DC a message. The visitors may send a message to our government in more ways than one. The government may also try to hide this when the visitors are annoying them. These “stagings” are effective psychological weapons. Senseless actions do not go well with the scientific community. Some of what they do may be absolute arrogance at our stupidity of some of our people. Intelligence and ego have a long history on earth and I would bet it’s not unique.
Of course there is another possibility which would fit nicely with the ruse; that is:
Our government has formed an alliance with these visitors.
We could consider the idea that they may have to eventually go public as our ways of detection increase.
We also have to address “Captain Nemo” type ships- the ones that have a nineteenth century look. Could the skins of their ships be so complex that they could change shapes on command or when needed. Could the skin of their crafts be manipulated like the desktop themes to your computer? Not as far fetched as you might think. The skins of the craft could project 3-d complex video also making them look like anything they want them to be.
Richard Schowengerdt (RD), an engineer who worked for Northrop Grumman and on secret Navy projects, won a patent No. 5,307,162 entitled “Cloaking Using Optoelectonically Controlled Camouflage” in 1994 and with his new “Project Chaneleo” he presented various papers to the power elite detailing this fascinating era of invisibility in our future. Schowengerdt in an interview carried out by Robert Guffey published in the March UFO Magazine described the application of this technology.
Schowengerdt explains:
“Project Chameleo” was conceived with the idea we could take(video) a background and present it on the surface surrounding or in front of an object giving the same effects as if you were looking through the object”
On commenting on its other uses for this “Controlled Camouflage” he states:
“Yeah you could use it for psychological warfare. You could create a situation where a person thinks he’s seeing what he is not seeing…you would greatly disturb the psyche of a group… you could create things so goofy they would be wondering what is going on.”
It is not hard to be strange and human tendency is to move far away from strange. I read many mystic reports and find some of them remind me of our “visitors” being caught at something and misdirecting the viewer. Many of the other experiences including abduction could be a form of verbal, mental and staging misdirection. This does not mean they do not abduct only that some staging does on to confuse. Even the most ardent defender of adductions will agree that many of the reports transcend the logical and these abductors are less then honest. “Contactees” and “Chennelers” could also be used in a disinformation campaign of truth and fiction wrapped up in a mystical stage umbrella its ultimate aim to confuse the topic and research. Some say it is too intelligent. I say how would we know.
There is a wizard behind the curtain we just don’t know who or what it is.
So if they have been here for decades and haven’t attacked why not just relax?
This overall disinformation plan is a part of a much wider discipline of what I call “Applied Species Psychology”: a continuing adaptive plan to misinform, control and divert serious intention. The bottom line seems to be that these “visitors” need something desperately from earth and will protect that knowledge for ever being public but I don’t think their technology is perfect.
Two Vermont state residents report on watching a falling UFO:
“…look like a ball floating down from the sky like a leaf. She(my friend) ran to get binoculars… the ship turned over …with the binoculars we could see so much of this equipment…the metal was smooth and shiny as molded…5 or 6 engines spinning in different directions…inside were tubes and inside those were more tubes spinning in the opposite directions… it turned and you could see the saucer shape.”

If these visitors are here with established “bases” it seems logical they would became very interested in our action especially after testing A-Bombs. How will they react to a massive change in our climate? Will this affect their bases or them?

The UFO Religion Part II Of III
They’re at every UFO conference.
They spout a type of “The Secret” philosophy given to them by ETs…or spirit guides claiming to be from another planet, star system, or galaxy - or all of the above.
Some believe they’re the chosen ones of ET, and their “experiences” (abductions), are a training camp.
Some of them have the same smile you’ll see on Born Again Christians --until you challenge their matter of fact beliefs.
Some of them are very kind people.
Some of them have lost all critical thinking.
Many of them believe UFOs, Angles, and Jesus are all interrelated.
They are an important source of revenue in the commercial UFO world.
Mr. Bennett, spokesman of the All UFOs Are Metaphysical School, gives off a nasty whiff of antique McCarthyism as he makes a not quite relevant comparison of MUFON conferences to the old no-discussion-no-debate ‘government’ sessions of the former Soviet Union. But is this kind of writing Bennett’s doing ultimately supporting rational discussion of the phenomenon by reasonable people?
So listen up, you lower class, over-forty type geeks, and you secret Old School Commies, you’re the reason academia has never accepted UFOs! According to Bennett.
Looks like Mr. Bennett’s forgotten one of the real reasons UFOs were discredited.
If anything, it was the Contactees and the Space Brother Channelers --with their spiritualist-based movements of the 50s continuing into our era-- who scared away academia and discouraged scientific serious investigation. In fact, the Nuts and Bolts investigators of those days came very close to having a former CIA director testify before congress to call for serious UFO study.
Major Donald Keyhoe was the prime mover in the battle to get the truth out about UFOs. Keyhoe started NICAP (National Investigation Committee on Arial Phenomenon) and NICAP was one breath away from having a former CIA director testify in front of Congress that UFOs “should be taken seriously and investigated by the scientific community.”
But somebody pulled the plug, which could mean this straight-forward, nuts and bolts approach is sometimes dangerous. See:

But take a closer look at Mr. Bennett’s claim that all UFOs are purely metaphysical. Many of his observations about the incredible range of UFO phenomenon are valid and should be examined:
- ETs seem to go through walls, disappear and reappear.
- Craft observed to fall like a leaf, with a swaying motion
- ETs wear headgear right out of the movies
- Craft look like they were built by Captain Nemo
- ETs observed with Bigfoot and other criptids
- ETs change shape
- ETs may be associated with religious Icons
- ETs give warnings to the people who would typically be the least listened to.
- ET of many different types reported.
- ETs may act stupid – unintelligent
- ETs may give warnings that are in your local newspaper.
Mr. Bennett’s wrong about another thing: MUFON does investigate even the most bizarre, phenomenon-rich…and controversial cases. Take a look at the newly-reopened landmark case that illustrates MUFON’s willingness to investigate what may be the case showing the greatest phenomenological diversity of them all:
The entities in this incident don’t just act different, they exhibit behavior right out of a B-grade science fiction movie. Doesn’t that sound like a projection of the mind --or better yet, a hoax? Unfortunately there are too many documented cases from around the world which seem to confirm similar, if not every sort, of strange behavior by the UFO visitor types in this spectacular incident, and of course examples of alien strange behavior are reported in abductions.
Even Dr. J. Allen Hynek from Project Bluebook tried to come to terms with this tension between what we think of as paranormal and other ‘high strangeness’ in UFO reports:
"Here we have 'creatures of light' who find walls no obstacle to free passage into rooms and who find no difficulty in exerting uncanny control over the witnesses' minds. If this represents an advanced technology, then it must incorporate the paranormal just as our own incorporates transistors and computers. Somehow, 'they' have mastered the puzzle of mind over matter....More and more of these high-strangeness cases are surfacing...They outrage our common sense, and they do constitute a challenge to our present belief systems."
But although the metaphysical/paranormal angle may explain some incidents, it doesn’t explain why the ET are reported again and again…acting stupid or just plain illogical.
It was this factor --the weirdly stupid behavior as exemplified in the robots case-- that gave me the ideas I call “Staging” and “Applied Species Psychology.”
Donald Shrum went bow hunting September 4, 1964. At sunset in an isolated area of Placer County California, Donald became isolated from his friends, realizing he was lost and it was getting dark, he knew he would have to stay the night. Climbing a tree so that he would not become the hunted, he strapped himself in till morning. Later he saw a zigzagging light and figured it was a rescue helicopter. After getting down out of the tree, he built a signal fire. When what he thought was a helicopter landed 50-plus yards away, its strange appearance frightened Donald Shrum. So he climbed up the tree again.
Later two humanoids (gray type) and a robot (see illustrations above) tried to dislodge Donald from the tree. He was besieged all night long. He lighted matches and twigs and through them at the beings, shot arrows one hit to show an "arc flash" of as it hit the robot -- and the robot flew backwards on its “metal ass”!
And what about this puzzling bit: when Donald threw his canteen at the gray and the robot, they inspected it, then threw it aside; but when he threw some coins, the visitors kept them.
The robot belched gas directly at Donald and it almost made him unconscious. The kicker though, was when another robot --just like the first-- joined the other two attackers, and then came more belched gas, together with some strange vapor that was launched, and finally Donald went out. The next day he was alone and still tied to the tree.
Donald Shrum made his way back to his other friends; one of them had witnessed the same UFO.
MUFON investigated this story in 1964, and if you don’t think this case is bizarre, I don’t what could be.
Donald Shrum has not, till now, spoken publicly of the incident for 43 years. If you ever wonder what cases ring true take a look at the passage of time and how the person reacts. I feel Donal Shrum actions underline the fact that he was telling the truth. Colin Bennett – “Worst Person in the World!”

I recently read an article in "UFO Magazine’"s March issue, “Watch Out, The Bellevue Commissars Are Coming”, by Colin Bennett. Bennett also writes for "The New Fortean Times". His article slams the Mutual UFO Network, which he refers to as “factual analysis” investigators whose scientific investigations are too narrow when you are dealing with another form of the metaphysical , which Mr. Bennett seems to believe, is the one and simple explanation for UFOs.
MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) is the largest UFO investigation organization of UFOs. MUFON is a non profit organization. Many of the “field investigators” are volunteer’s part time. Their mission statement reflects this lofty goal:
“The scientific study of UFOs for the benefit of humanity.”
Mr. Bennett’s’ belief that UFOs are just an another mystical event seem very dogmatic and reminds me of the catholic church in it’s earlier days. Of course some Christian groups believe E T are demons or angels and can be just as dogmatic. I was for a long time just as dogmatic about a technology explanation but I had to admit some of the wee documented cases made no sense. One case gave me an idea but I’ve present first in my next post.

Bennett charges that MUFON suppresses some of the more metaphysical and bizarre reports by credible witnesses of UFO experiences . Why, because Bennett claims, these cases would not reinforce MUFON’s views. In Part 2 I present a case that is as bazaar as you going to get. It was investigated by MUFON in 1964 I believe it can be explained logically.
The attack spin-and-blame game Mr. Bennett plays in the article does nothing but help continue to polarize the different factions and groups within the UFO community. His frustrations and attacks against MUFONS’ dependence on scientific methodology and technology are both disingenuous and downright misleading. He’s a good writer, but great writers convey a sense of profound truth, which was sadly lacking in Mr. Bennett’s article.
Mr. Bennett rants how philosopher Thomas Aquinas would weep at MUFON’s investigators, and the:
“Locust clouds of lower class - middle class professional’s who descend upon the UFO experience…with their facts and figures”.
Leave it up to the supposed fellow “spiritual” travelers to bring up “class” first. Makes you wonder, what Jesus would think?
I say Bennett’s exaggerations are not even based in reality. Especially when he rants:
“the idea of four hundred well trained and earnest field investigators wielding notebooks and forensic science kits on a single strange experience of a poor human being is a daunting prospect. This is as awesome a scare as a threat of becoming interrogated by congeries of grocers of Kafkaesque librarians, all asking questions full of common-sense practicality about documents, categories; and file codes and types of cheese.”
It’s important to remember that MUFON is a volunteer organization. I think such groups are vital to maintaining discussion on UFOs and related topics in a free society --especially in a culture like ours, where public documents get sealed for decades, and multi-trillions of taxpayer dollars are dedicated to the Black Budget. MUFON is kept alive today by donations of time and money. They have a very limit budget. Common sense would dictate you put the most bucks with the best possibility of payoff; in this case verifiable evidence.
So, Mr. Bennet, here’s some of your own medicine, back at you:

crude, static mechanism.”

NASA Can’t See The Forest For The Trees
I don’t like others to tell me what to think. It seems there is a lot of that going around lately. These pictures are from the “Mars Anomaly Research”. I am really interested in what they imply. The more I look at Mars the more I think the NASA scientists are in denial or liars. How long are we going to believe the answers they throw out which just do not cover, or in any way, explain what we are seeing? Many feel we are constantly treated with compete contempt and disregard by this tax supported agency. But most of all, how stupid do they think we are? I don’t know for sure if this is life but it is not rocks or the dark soil underneath.

This type of evidence is common in the Mars distant obfuscated satellite imaging. I pass over reporting on evidence like this often because I suspect many would see this as just too inconclusive. Yet it is biological life and it is included in this report because it is present in this strip and it demonstrates yet another example of a different looking Mars forest life bio-diversity.”

I have not imaged the bands of algae growth evidence or other growth on either side of this band of tree evidence because the main thrust of this report is the conventional vegetation woody forest tree evidence. This view is just beginning to get a little too blurry but it is still informative as to being able to identify this as mostly conventional woody tree forest fragment evidence.”

This Earth evidence comes as a more oblique closer aerial view without obfuscation tactics and resolution problems present in it and so the view of detail making up the forest canopy upper surface is of course better than in the much greater distant and resolution compromised Mars satellite imaging lacking in such subtle detail.”

The end results is these cursory attempts to explain Anomalies images by NASA and the debunkers that have fueled and reinforced the contempt many people feel toward NASA and their lock step debunkers.
As long as we accept these stupid explanations we will get stupid explanations. I am an activist in the political arena. I find the same contempt by politician in treating the public. They seem to think all we need to be concerned with are lower taxes, lower gas prices, never mind accountability. I have always believed there are Americans who are not that selfish.
The same can be said for NASAs utter contempt for the public unless of course it has to do with support for their next project. If you think I’m crazy try and pay to get any compete Shuttle mission video, the videos we paid for; but please don’t hold your breath.
