Damn You….” A Joe Capp Halloween Joint

Suddenly, for no apparent reason, I awoke. Something was at the foot of my bed.
When you get old it feels good to have a pillow between your knees, so I peeked over it. Something at the foot of the bed was glowing, and that something looked like a typical gray alien.
I sat bolt upright and looked at my wife, who was silent, asleep beside me. I shook her frantically, yelling “Get up! I want you to see this. Phyl, get up!”

Phyl had never seen anything paranormal, and at last, I had the proof.

“Ah… excuse me…ah, excuse me. That won’t work. I put her into… what you may loosely describe as…um, a sound sleep.”

I stopped in mid-shake and looked at the gray, thinking “Was that you in my head?”“Yes, it’s me. We do that a lot out of habit. I will use my voice now. I want you to be aware of one thing, I am not a Human-Basher….” It tilted its head.

“I did not want to scare you in any way. Hence the…the…getup.”

Mind to voice is weird.

It stood there, glowing, spreading its stringbean arms wide.
“Getup?” I asked.
Then it pointed at my ceiling, and the light fixture flashed on. Next, the alien leaned into the light and kind of waved. In a friendly way.

At that point I realized I was going mad. Or maybe it was the Trickster Factor. Maybe all this UFO stuff finally tipped the balance.

I looked again: the alien had the facial features of Woody Allen…and it was wearing his glasses!

I looked incredulously at my wife, who was still sleeping.

“Don’t freak out!” It said. “I just wanted to look like someone you you’re not afraid of…
You must know at this stage of your life, I didn’t have many choices.
I I ah...I thought of ah, a cat. But then you might try and pet me…and the thought of that…I almost threw up, no offense.”

I sat up on my knees and cupped my hands together. Closed my eyes tight. All I could do at that point was repeat these words:
I believe in the Trickster,
I believe in the Trickster
I believe, I believe in the Trickster.

“Wizard Of Oz! Important metaphor for arrogance and the inability of your people to humble yourselves to what you already have. I loved the movie,” It said. “We gave Frank Baum the idea. Unaccredited, of course.”

Slowly I opened my eyes. It stood --or hovered-- there, still.“Are you going to abduct me?” Soon as I said it, I felt ill.

“No, just your wife,”
It replied. My mind raced. I imagined doing battle with these aliens as they captured my wife, while I stood by, held helpless inside a blue paralyzing ray.

“Just kidding” it smiled.“But that was a great scenario you played in your mind. Privately, though,” the alien took a minute to poke its glasses back up the nubbin of its Woody Allen nose, “looking at you, I…ah…um woul
d go for me. After all, I’m Woody Allen. I can’t even threaten myself.”

“Alright, enough!” I shouted.

“Whatever game you’re playing, I don’t care! If you think for one minute I’m putting this in my blog, you’re crazy. Trying to make me look nuts, huh? Discredit me?”

Now it spoke in a low voice, as though confidentially: “I wouldn’t, ah um…worry… about ah um… blogs, ah… anymore”. The alien was clearing its throat continuously.“What did you say? What do you mean, not worry about blogs anymore?”
It looked at me again for a second, then blinked, and somehow, said and thought at the same time: “Well, it just means there won’t be any blogs anymore.”

“You see, I am here on behalf of….um… because they sent me here. I don’t want to be here for any reason. It’s not like I don’t like humans. Some of my best friends are humans…and I’m not trying to be facetious here. I never had a problem with humans. But they sent me to talk to you”“Me?” was all I could manage.“In a few hours from now, all electricity --including batteries on your world-- will die…And then it, ah, ah hum, it gets worse.” It looked at me. I looked at it.

Hours seemed to pass…but it was only milliseconds. Then there was a kind of hiccup in my mind, or its mind, and it started talking again. But now it spoke with incredible speed, though continuing to clear its throat.

“My only crime was asking a question of the
Committee…that the Humans ...”The alien went silent for a second; head bent, it paced back and forth, with its left hand cupped in front of its thin mouth. It stopped, and then, like it was working right from a movie script, it pointed its finger at me, but more to punctuate than to accuse
“…I demanded…ah, strongly stated…that ‘humans’ deserved to be fully informed of…what is about to…ah hum…happen… and why. So after I demanded…I raised my voice, they agreed…”
Its voice trailed off. Then it started up again, while it paced at the foot of my bed. “…they agreed to it as long as I…ah um… I did it and…with…their…ah hum… conditions…”
It looked at me, expecting something. I’m sure my mouth was still wide open.
“I could inform someone of the reasons for this catastrophe…ah…um…someone in the UFO community-- after all, they were the only ones who really believed we were real. I agreed with this. It was only…ah…fair, I mean, right?”
All I could do was stare.

It went on, gliding into a stream of consciousness tone, doing a great job with Woody’s Brooklyn accent,

“I was to select…. the most insignificant UFO aficionado I could find on the planet. This was the person they wanted me to tell. You know, The Committee of Wisdom. ‘The Federation of Light” ...What a fiasco that was. Anyway, this COWFOL picked you.”

“What?... Me…COWFOL?”

It nodded its big Woody Allen head.

“Wait! Are you saying you settled on telling me as a justification for shutting down the world?”

“The ego. It’s the last thing to go,” I thought to myself.
“Yeah, the ego.” It thought-said.

“No, you were going to go anyway. But think of it this way…ah…um… from now on, you… Joe of UFO Media Matters…you will be the first and last human to know the truth of why it happened. By the way the ‘why’ is fascinating. You wanna hear it?”

I have to admit, even though the whole world might be ending, and even though there would be no more WEEDS, Anorexic Models, Ghost Hunters or Mad Men, I still wanted to know.
“Let me put it bluntly: there are thousands of dimensions and planets. I can tell you this now.

“Did you ever wonder why we don’t destroy each other? Well, many did. We are the ones who survived and got past all that.

“You in that ‘you’ as a species…” it smiled, “are promising, but with problems, serious baggage…what with Bush and his two terms… Um…never mind.
I like you. I mean personally, I have nothing against inter-species relationships. But do the best-looking ET women have to be used in their crazy experiments?”… It froze for a minute…. “Forgive me, I’m going off….

It paced and looked uncomfortable.

“All of us…ah…um for the most part… we hide ourselves to all newly encountered species because …ah hum, I’ll tell you why.
You kind of have to be ready for it… ah…um…for that knowledge…
you know, your species has killed everything that moves… on your planet it repeatedly kills anything…”

I thought about it for a second and realized he-it was right.

“Good. It ah um…I’m glad you see it like that,” it said.
“Have to watch what I’m thinking,” I thought.

“Actually, you should,” it thought back.

“No one wanted you Earthlings to know about any of this ET or dimensional stuff…or the other things, like, life after death…”

“You mean--” I thought.

“--Yes; that, too, is another dimension. You’ll find out very soon,” it thought back.

Its mind hiccupped again.

The ET who did a pretty good Woody Allen threw its hands above its head, and then, with the long fingers shaking back and forth, gave itself away. When I looked closer at its creepy shadow on the wall, moving like a distorted cartoon, I realized it did not look that much like Woody Allen.

I closed my eyes, trying to avoid further deception.
But it just kept going on “We don’t think it’s…ah, hum, well…healthy for any species to know for a certainty about other dimensions, ETs, and all the rest. It’s not, it’s not such a good idea”.
It shook its head, clearly having taken on the complete Woody Allen desperation persona. “We do our damnedest not to let any species that isn’t ready get a glimpse on the whole enchilada. The whole enchilada usually turns out to be, well, a disaster. With all kinds of ‘riffraff’. I like that word of yours, by the way…‘riffraff’, it has a certain pleasant buzz--”

And here, I wondered, was it referring to my cat?

“--and so riffraff and all kinds of uninvited parties, kept getting through and messing up things. Yes. In fact, that’s why ghosts, ETS, and all the other phenomenon only play with you and will never let you prove the truth of their existence.”

“Oh yeah?” I decided to challenge him.
“That’s not what’s been happening lately. UFOs all over the place! Ranchers are sighting them, and everything’s getting filmed by independent witnesses. Seems like someone has decided to tip the balance.”

“Yep, some species just have that sense of humor…. want…to kinda play with the…ah…hum… savages. Some even pretend to be Gods…and if you knew this species, Gods doesn’t come to mind as much as …”
Then he twirled his arms around and seemed to shift gears.
“Now the Committee, that’s what they like to call themselves -- I usually call them The Committed, for obvious reasons, has deemed it necessary that savage species…Uh, ah hum…By the way —you-- you know you’re classified as a pretty violent race, right?
Wasn’t it repeating itself? But then I thought of something.“Wait!”
I was practically shouting. “You guys display yourselves all over the place. Multiple contacts… abductions…mutilations…just sitting there, hovering photographed over major airports and cities…“So why would you do that if you need to keep it all secret?”
My mind was coming back. I was up to the challenge.“We are a little weirded out with your World Wars Bombing Everything era… and your Atomic Bombs era...and your Destroying Your Own Environment era…and…need I say more?”“Enough...” I was getting tired. “So, you’re saying, as long as we didn’t know you were a fact --real-- we were safe?”
“Oh, of course not, as my uncle Melvin used to say, don’t repeat what you believe, only what you know, and then carry a big stick.”
I was getting angry
“What does that have to do with it?”It hesitated for a minute.
“Well,” it said, putting two fingers beside the thin, puckered mouth, as if to emphasize what it was about to say,
“…believing is one thing, but knowing it’s real --like you know a screwdriver is real-- that’s a different concept altogether. No one but your quantum nuts argue about that.
By the way, we’re still trying to figure out your quantum theory, I ah…hum… have to say, it was funny discussing it. And for the record, I will miss your reality shows.”

I just wouldn’t address consciously what he said.

It continued: “Now you became threat to others because you have discovered the Others are a boogey man and you can hurt them. And one …ah…hum… other thing…”

“Other thing?” I decided to play to the end.

“I don’t know why they want me to do this, but… Or, right…or…”

I realized it was arguing with itself.

“I’m going to tell you because…it doesn’t matter. You have the technological ability to go to these other species, right now. All you need can be purchased at any store. So you are now such a great danger to those other species, they get paranoid …like Republicans.”
“So Who decides about our civilization, whether we continue?” I tried to say this in a matter of fact tone.“If a trial can prove conclusively with a preponderance of the evidence that the species in question –-yours-- kills everything that gets in its way….
”My denial kicked in right in the nick of time.
“We only kill when….when …we need to”. I am such a wimp.
“Your specie’s trial lasted 5 of your minutes…,” it said, dismissing my comment with a hard stare. “It was unanimous. But there are bright sides. Bush won’t be president anymore --and you’ll know what was in Cheney’s safe.“Just tell me one thing…” I said, slowly, looking directly at it. “Who in the UFO field pushed our species over the line into this reality mindset you speak of?”

But before it could answer, I realized I already knew.

That’s when I screamed “Damn you, Stan Friedman!”“Stan’s a good Jewish boy but not him…”
it thought it at me… “Ghost Hunters, the last episode” it said, emphasizing ‘last’.
Then it put me back to sleep, knowing the alarm clock would not wake me in the morning.
Bye for a two weeks Happy Halloween.

The Certainty Principle

"But I was so much older than I'm younger than that now" Dylan

The UFO enigma should bring our community together. We all believe something’s out there. Most of us believe that ‘something’ is craft, not just lights.

Many of us believe the reports of craft with living beings are real.

Most UFO researchers will accept as valid reports by credible witnesses about all of the above subjects --including abductions.

But instead of bringing us together into a tighter community with a shared goal, instead of collectively pushing for real change in attitude in human culture, there is, and perhaps always has been, a Great Separator afoot.

The Great Separator is a belief system of rigid ideals practiced by “certain people” that seems to have no logical use in the real world -- except to keep the community ridiculously divided. I call this great separator “The Certainty Principle”.

The Certainty Principle covers all the spectrum of people who claim to be certain of what is still a mystery. Certainty advocates can be very arrogant about it --and that’s one more factor which doesn’t lend itself to open, thoughtful communication.

There are those among us who are certain of what UFOs are, and no other explanation is accepted.

There are those inside the UFO community who are “CERTAIN, NO ARGUMENT” that UFOS are…
inter-dimensional
demons
Extra Terrestrial craft from other planets
American secret weapons
NAZI technology
not ETs
evil
good
spiritual
in the Mind
…Trickster “what ever that is”

The idea of The Certainty Principle came to mind when Bill Maher said on the matter of religion and God:

“ I particularly don’t like the atheist point of view either, they are just as certain that God doesn’t exist as those on the other side who are. I am an agnostic. I am not certain of either.”

Myself, I believe in God… but I’m clear that it is a belief.

So I ask the question of all of us who must at times feel certainty on this subject:
How can any of us be so certain about something that could be as powerful, as world-changing as this UFO phenomenon?

I try never to just dismiss the witness. However, it’s obvious from the reports of so many witnesses, these intelligences can influence the mind. We don’t know how much they influence the minds of witnesses.

The latest predictions on the web about when and where “definitive, mass contact” is to occur have not arisen in a vacuum. There is a great difference between UFO reports now and in previous decades. Ultra-cheap video cams and cell phone cameras with video means hundreds, of live moving images of UFOs are captured; YouTube means every citizen witness can distribute those images around the world…to a couple of billion viewers.

There are places where UFOs can be predictably filmed and in the process, seem to demonstrate some kind of human interactivity, even seeming to communicate with the minds of those present.

No one has made this up. The Trout Lake Ranch --with its ongoing amazing film and video documentation, and now thousands of witnesses over the years-- exists, as other have UFO-frequented locales before it. But in this instance, whatever is behind the Trout Lake UFOS continues to allow filming. At Skinwalker Ranch, with scientists, surveillance equipment and security measures present didn’t. At Skinwalker, a vast range of phenomena was associated with UFOs, and the creative dismantling of cameras and recording equipment in an apparently [and documented] deserted field demonstrated that something associated with UFOs carefully intended that researchers understand a creative intelligence able to defeat their carefully designed, secure experiment was at work.

There is no denying the extensive documentation of multiple witnesses at both locales. These reports are as real as reality gets.

But the meaning of all this phenomena? A completely different question. No one knows for Certain!

DVD: Defense Minister Of Canada "UFO Are Real"

“Messages” from ETs have been claimed before, particular messages or variations associated with places of contact. It just didn’t happen. But it does embarrass the credibility of the people and the researchers in the UFO community, because the outside media tries to define the failures as the reality of us… for…Certain.

We all have strong beliefs about what is happening and the strong beliefs and differences are good for frank exchange, but a closed mind, the mind already absolutely decided on a single solution, is exactly what debunkers offer.

Institutionally, as a community of researchers, we can’t survive under the rule of Certainty. And as individuals, don’t we need -- as healthy, functioning people-- to be more understanding of other views? After all, this is not a religion, it is a mystery.

It’s a mystery most of us have experienced personally. Wanting an answer is a normal process, but I ask everyone in our ufology community to be humble about the answers we give.

As I go away on this vacation I think about what Dylan did for me. He gave me a perspective about what touches us as humans… separates us…. and what inspires us. He gave me the insight into the games other people played and the games I played.

No one can give us insight into the games these entities play. No one has that kind of knowledge but… I am not certain.

“Something is happening here but you don’t know what is …do you Mr. Jones”. Dylan.

UFO Spotting Is Believing

THOSE AMAZING UFO SPOTTERS OF PERU:

UFO Media Matters welcomes our new Peruvian friends, UFO researchers Proyecto UFO Piura. The group is 18 years old and going strong. Can I verify any of the group’s UFO pictures? No, but the story is fascinating. It doesn’t look like they are in it for the money.

How many years have our UFO researchers and organizations chased the scientific community, trying to win a respectable seat at their table of respected topics? How many inside our ufology community have burned out trying to make that scientific respectability happen?

So what do we do hear from these so-called objective scientists --even after Stephenville and the radar tapes which could prove beyond doubt UFOs are real?

Nothing. So sc**w ‘em, and lets have some fun.

Welcome to the world of the UFO spotter.

How would you like to enjoy nature and keep healthy by walking and hiking and…. as a side pursuit, help solve the greatest mystery of our time?

Meet the UFO Spotters And Their UFOs

This is the first email I received:

“Dear friend, ”We apologize for the late reply to your kind message. Yes, you are right. There are lots of hoaxes posted on the Internet. Perhaps 10% of the UFO images on YOUTUBE are of real UFOs. Proyecto UFO Piura is a group of people of all ages (we have been preparing some material for you to know about the group). We have been researching on UFOs for more than 18 years (over here in Piura the public Internet have been available since 2000-2001, and home service, since 2004-2005). I, teacher Josuè Gonzàles-the only English speaker in the group-, coordinate the work of the team. Claudia Calle, my fiancèe, helps me to cover the expenses. Proyecto UFO Piura is not an organization, company nor a business. We are just ordinary people -most of the young women and men are students at the institute I work for. Despite the limited resources to do the private research, everyone in the group has something to share. I particularly have no computer or Internet at home (that is why it takes me a few hours to reply to your kind messages in addition to the translating process- I do not speak fluent English). Well, if we can be of help, please write to us !!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!”
Followed By:Dear friend,

The whole members of Proyecto UFO Piura send warm greetings to you and your staff.

“We are keeping track of the latest UFO happenings in the world. We understand that it is hard for some people to believe that a group of ordinary peruvians are able to summon UFOs or spacecrafts. We are doing our best to prove that what we are claiming is true.

Well, it happened again. In fact, it has been happening again and again for more than 18 years. It was on May 31, 2008. Saturday. There were 12 of us (two girls among us). As usual, we went away from the city of Piura, in the north of PERU; at km. 12 on the road that runs east to west from Piura, we got off the bus and starting to walk south.

We got to the “VIEWPOINT” dune at 05:40 pm. As it can be seen in the film, we set the cameras focusing east, on two small hills, the place where the sighting was going to happen. You can see the time of the takes showed by the camera clock.

In the sequence of takes from “toma 2-4.jpg” to “toma 2-7.jpg” you can see the precise instant in which the object’s three main lights grew in size, making everyone of us feel so nervous.

Raul Yacila, the young student operating the camera at that moment, could not prevent his hands from shaking, producing the “running” effect in some takes (toma2-8.jpg).

In the take labeled “toma 3.jpg” you can see the spacecraft flashing powerfully next to the hill outlined by the light from the city of Piura.

We suggest you, our friend (or anyone who is watching the photos), use the zoom effect on every take in order to have a better view of them.

Well, this is an exclusive for you, dear friends. If any question, please write to us at any time!
By the way, have you already seen “Indiana Jones 4”? Indi is looking looking for an extraterrestrial skull in Peru. What a coincidence!!!”

Off they go hiking up to the Viewpoint:

I want to show some UFO photos before we go on with their stories:
Notice the UFOs morphing, and also how the UFO craft appears to be all light, in any configuration or color:

Short History of Proyecto UFO Piura Group

PART I

By 1989, I had seen the Rosswell Report, Close Encouters Of The Third Kind movie, and the Billy Meier's video; but I had not seen a UFO with my own eyes yet. I knew UFOs were real all the time (something had told me that since I was a child). On July 28, 1989, a young man I had recently met suggested that we go to the desert and try to summon a spaceship from other planet (that young man called Juan did not know that I had had a dream about being in a spaceship and talking to an extraterrestrial being). I accepted because I wanted to confirm my dream. That night in the middle of a large , dry farming field, my friend fell asleep and I saw a strange white light 500 meters away from us. My first UFO sighting! From that day on, some other friends started to join the group. Rafael Ramirez was 11 when he joined us. We used to go camping when we got money (I was an English student then). Every month, every other month, every three months, we went to the desert and had surprising experiences. At the beginning we called ourselves "The A Team Of UFO Research". Then Proyecto UFO Piura was going to be the formal name of our group. In 1990, a local newspaper, "Diario Correo", covered the happening of sightings on the southwest coast of Piura (near Paita). That was the first time that we had invited a journalist and a photographer to take part of a programed sighting of UFOs in Piura (only one of several UFOs that night was photographed). Some years later, in 1997, another newspaper, "El Tiempo", showed an interview of some of our young members. By Friday, March 16, 2007, Claudia(my fiancee) and I being in the park near her house, just had one thing in our minds: when will they allow us photograph or film their spaceships? Suddenly, I raised my head and saw two little objects flying at great height over Claudia's house. Claudia managed to get a camera and took our first photos of an UFO in day light. For us that was the confirmation of their wanting us to have images as proof of what Proyecto UFO Piura has been claiming to be and to see for 18 years. Part II is coming soon!! Thanks!!!

PART II

The rest of the year 2007 was the time of looking for someone we can borrow a video cam from. At IDAT, the institute we belong to, Paul Idrogo, Oscar Ruiz, and Cristh Curo had been in the English class since the beginning of that year. I do not usually mention the subject of the UFOs before the students until they have known me very well. So the boys had been invited to take part in an UFO observation camp for their first time, about the middle of March 2008; the fist camp of the new year. Proyecto UFO Piura is a unit, a team. Every member has his share of work. Paul had dreamt about doing the filming (and he did it!); Oscar had dreamt of the exact hour and minute (11:02 PM) in which the spacecraft was going to flash; Cristh just took his Cyber-Shot and did the photographing; I, the coordination. It was just the 4 of us: an old teacher and three young students; 4 inexperienced film makers (no Lucas or Spielberg around); one old UFO believer and three beginners. Hope was the only thing we had in common; one common goal; one mission. Then we took a bus to the west, to Paita. Everything looked the same; the same bus; the same road which many other campers had done for 18 years; the same passengers who, perhaps, do not care about spacecrafts ior extraterrestrials. But that has never discouraged us. At kilometer 12 we got off the bus and started to do the first takes of us introducing ourselves. After a 50-minute trek (relieved by an informative talk on the expedition, and some fresh fruit and water) we reached the viewpoint we called "the dune". From there tens of people, along these years, had seen many things that their eyes did not believe or did not want to believe. Before nightfall, we dedicated this camp to all human beings and nature, to our families, even to our pets at home. We thanked God because we knew that something very important was going to happen; and so it did. Part III , the last one, in a moment!!!

PART III

It was 09:30 PM. We noticed that a strange light, in the air, had appeared in the east (too fast for a plane to fly). The light became bigger, then divided in three, and finally disappeared behind a hill. Paul , nervous but controling himself, could got all the exciting action. By 10:30 PM, another strange light, now on the ground (or closely over it), started to become bigger, changing from white and yellow to orange and green colors (later we found in the video that there were three lights from an object that was slowly turning around and disappearing in the dark of the desert. At 10:55 PM we were just holding back the excitement. We wondered about Oscar's dream: 11 and 2. "Perhaps 11 hours and 2 minutes" , I said. "Let's just wait and see", we agreed. We already had a reference point for the camera. I was personally waiting for two kinds of beautiful sightings I am used to see. But this time, I wanted the boys to see them, as a gift for all their effort. "Look, look,...Listo!!! (that's it! in Spanish). "11 and 2 minutes", I shouted for joy. A great pale orange balloon of light had jumped from the ground into the air, scattering lots of little pale stars, difficult for the camera to take. The boys were astonished. We just laughed and hugged each other. The same sighting happened again and again; as a confirmation that "they" had programed the encounter and that "they" had arrived "on time" for the meeting. Suddenly, when we thought that everything had been all over, a spectacular powerful silver flash was seen by our eyes ( and fortunately by the camera's eye too), leaving us speechless with emotion. We will try to upload the whole non-edited video at YOUTUBE so you can corroborate everything we tell in this brief story of Proyecto UFO Piura. If you could spread this happening, we would appreciate it very much!!!

One of their Videos:

If ten thousand showed up at the Gilliland Ranch at the conference and we witnessed something and filmed it, what a night that would be. Doesn’t matter which side of the coin you’re on as to what they are… just to film a UFO with a thousand different cameras would be historic.

What a night that would be --a UFO Woodstock. No drugs until after the sightings, please!

When Darkness Falls:Nightime UFOs

"If the brains of the UFO world is the honest researcher, then the soul of the UFO world is the honest witness." UFOMM

One of the easiest UFO witnesses to dismiss and debunk is the nighttime UFO witness.
You can see this unfortunate tendency to devalue the nighttime witness on both general UFO reporting web sites and more conservative UFO researchers’ sites.

In the ufology community, we like to think devaluing nighttime witnesses demonstrates how objective we really are to the mainstream science community.

But it hasn’t worked yet.

I believe knee-jerk dismissal of this witness group has kept many genuine UFO witnesses from coming forward. I like to think nighttime witnesses are no more and no less honest than those reporting daylight phenomenon. But ultimately, UFO witnesses of every category have been treated like the enemy by debunker and researcher alike.

So what about our filtering out of folks across the board --deliberately or subconsciously-- just because they saw what they saw at night?

When a genuine UFO witness goes public and is treated as guilty until proven innocent, this bad behavior reverberates mightily because of the power of the web, and the permanent tracks left by bloggers, forums, and news coverage --not to mention advocacy websites. So when new witnesses, astonished by their experience, venture on the web for help, they’re often discouraged and delay reporting the incident. This happens at ATS, from what I hear. And what about the witnesses we never hear from, the ones who see the kind of treatment you often get out there, and are intimidated…forever?

The very nature of this experience deserves an understanding and compassionate tone from all of us --interviewers, reporters, commentators. Whatever our stance on the phenomenon, we all need to remember that it can be extremely difficult for some to come forward and make a detailed craft report or describe a light that was quite different from any light they’ve seen before.

So let’s look at some photos of aircraft lights and photos of UFOs --both typical and unusual examples-- showing lighted UFOs from nighttime witnesses.

Below are photos showing lighting on aircraft.

First Aircarft Navigational lights:
This quote from Abacus.com :
“Navigation lights
The navigation lights include a red light on the left (port) wingtip, a green light on the right (starboard) wingtip and a white light is on the tail.”
http://www.abacuspub.com/freepress/DontBeAfraidOfTheDark.pdf

Next, images from YouTube, a little provocative in nature:

They have to find something that hovers.

I live near an aircraft approach to Kennedy airport --one of the busiest in the country. I have witnessed aircraft lights which are rather stunning in brightness, due to the refraction of the atmosphere and therefore easily mistaken for something strange.

I have even witnessed aircraft on approach which looked like they were hovering. I have also witnessed many helicopters, from your normal police and media helicopter, to massive military copters used when presidents visit New York.

But never --after studying the more provocative looking aircraft-- never have I been fooled.

Since I’m neither a genius or an optics expert, and I can usually tell what kind of aircraft I’m observing at night because of what I’m used to seeing, I believe many witnesses dismissed by debunkers and certain UFO researchers are probably correct about what they say they saw --especially if what they observed differs from the more accepted explanation.

I understand the scientific approach and agree with it. But the problem is abuse of the scientific method –as applied even by some of the more overzealous UFO researchers who believe they need that stamp of validity from the decades-old scientific mainstream.

But serious UFO researchers inevitably come up against the brick wall of out-dated mainstream science, where at least on the matter of UFOs, easy, predictable answers that don’t challenge the official position of government and academia are the only acceptable answers.

So because mainstream science is already uniformly advocating that Brick Wall, everyone in our ufology community should be reminded that being open-minded, instead of brick-wall-minded, means not only cultivating an open mind, but going the extra distance for the witness, even though it takes time. And recording carefully what the witness says while the serious investigator is going the extra distance can make all the difference later on. Unique, unimpeachable details are often caught in the secondary analysis by the original investigator…or months or even years later, when other witnesses have added hard data to support what once seemed like unlikely details.

How do we strike that balance? Sometimes Venus is not what they saw, even though it was in the right part of the sky, and brilliant! That factoid is what I carry with me from the Portage, Ohio case, where even some inside the UFO community dismissed this case as nothing more than Venus. But in 2008, as police files were made public through MUFON, it was clear that what state and county officers reported was nothing like Venus.

To use the misquotation of Freud, when is a cigar-shaped object really a cigar-shaped object, and not Venus?

MUFON itself was guilty of the rubber-stamp, one-size-fits-all non-analysis in the early days of the Stephenville case, via Dr. Bruce Maccabee. Maccabee was quoted as coming to the conclusion after doing a short preliminary investigation that one of the witnesses had filmed nothing more than a star. But Maccabee never went to the site, himself, claiming he was too busy. True? Perhaps…but if a professional debunker like Oberg had done that….

So in the Stephenville case, we have MUFON returning a less than enthusiastic first assessment. The report even mentioned that neither of the sides would be thrilled with their official analysis.

But then everything changed with irrefutable witness evidence. Somehow this time, the witnesses were looked at with more respect after Federal Aviation Administration radar tapes fully corroborated their strikingly detailed UFO reports. And there is still other radar data available --if we could get it-- that may confirm the many other witnesses’ testimony of phenomena later that night and going into the next days and weeks that followed, accounting for approximately 300 sightings in all.

Now let’s take a look at some classic well-investigated UFO light pictures:

If these people hadn’t taken these photos, how many would have been explained away as aircraft, and the witnesses left to wonder if anyone really listened to any of the details they reported?

This is the dilemma witnesses face. Should we use the most rigid, conservative scientific investigation model --a model that can be truly bizarre in application of its own integral illogic and bias, based on exclusion?

We have to admit that today, same as it did five decades ago, the so-called scientific model of mainstream science departs from logic when it ignores all the ramifications of witness testimony and adds any old non-ufo explanation, often rubberstamping what amounts to the current trend, regardless of how that trendy rubber-stamp explanation challenges common sense and embarrasses the native intelligence of the witnesses.

The answer is still out there, but for me, the testimony of every serious UFO witness is like finding gold. Some of it may be fool’s gold, but if we’re careful enough, we should be able to tell the difference.

It Doesn’t Mean Little Green Men

Yes It Does!
*Updates Africa Children investagation

For decades we’ve heard this apologetic statement. We’ve apologized enough… and in the end, it’s just wrong. If the core data on all phases of UFO reports is equal, and I believe it is, there are indeed little “men” that come out of some of these craft, and some may even be a greenish color.

What the hell else are we talking about here, anyway --some USAF black ops scam hiring “vertically challenged” to fly these covert machines?

There are craft landings reported around the world where little people are witnessed.

I understand…out there in mainstream media land we have to be cool about this… after all, with down-sizing, and dwindling budgets for research and fact-checkers, reporters are typically not so well informed (except on Hurricanes) these days….

But in our ufology community, talking among ourselves, surely we must know that you can’t discount these entity reports.

On YouTube, when I post small entity reports given by solid Mexican witnesses, the debunkers let out such a howl. If they are Mexican…even whole groups of Mexican people who witness these same entities, the worst stereotypical racist language will be used by the debunkers… a kind of sledgehammer approach. The debunkers call themselves rationalist thinkers but in these sledgehammer denunciations of Mexican witnesses they are racist, nothing more.

I happen to meet my share of the Mexicans who come here illegally, and although you may argue why should they be here, they do seem to be hard working, honest people for the most part. But to the trash talkers, these racist debunkers posting on YouTube, all Mexicans UFO witnesses have absolutely no integrity and are just waiting for ufologist Jamie Maussan to come to hand them money so they can report anything he wants to report.

And sledgehammer denial is even true within our own ranks when witnesses have humanoid experiences. If it is a credible witness… researchers will go to extraordinary lengths to explain away the object’s inhabitants.

“We can’t have little green around, therefore…they are not little and they are white like…like an engineer, yeah that it!”

Lonnie Zamora, the police officer with the Mexican-American last name who witnessed a landing complete with “small” occupants, was attacked in his time by debunkers who suggested the officer was so unobservant that he mistook a Bell Helicopter for the craft, and engineers for tiny people.

Don’t you do that all the time? Especially when helicopters…land in daylight and things are hanging from it. No doubt I myself would have never noticed…the killer rotors and the massive wind:

“The tests missions were manned by a helicopter pilot and a Hughes engineer ... two persons, in white coveralls.”
http://www.nmsr.org/socorro.htm

Of course Lonnie’s statement that the inhabitants of the craft were NOT engineer size, but child-size was ignored:

“They were shorter than the small bush they were standing next to, later measured at being about 5 feet high”…

“A day or two later, Dr. J. Allen Hynek arrived to investigate the report for the Air Force's Project Blue Book. In addition to questioning Zamora, Hynek measured and photographed the landing site. He located what appeared to be impressions in the ground made by the landing gear, as well as several small footprints”

Put a bell helicopter on this and this is and you get this?

Of course this is only the beginning, because even if you pass a lie detector test, it doesn’t matter, as in the case of Police Officer Herbert Schirmer’s abduction. Here is what Officer Schirmer disscribed:

http://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case659.htm

"Thinking that it was a stopped truck he approached and shown his high beams on it. Soon he realized it was no truck. Instead it was a disc-shaped object with a shiny, polished aluminum looking surface…”

“The entities had slightly slanted “catlike” eyes (that didn’t blink), gray-white skin, long and thin heads, with flat noses and slitlike mouths. They wore silver-gray uniforms, gloves, and helmets (which had a small antenna on the left side around their ear), and at the left breast of each suit they had the emblem of a winged serpent.”

This is perfectly logical in my staging hypothesis. We find the ETs presenting understandable technology and exhibiting it for us to identify with, but it seems to be nothing but a scam, along with the ‘little green men’s’ pronouncements. Also, listen to what the ETs told him. What do you think? Is this spin, disinfo or the truth:

They explained that they purposely contacted people at random so as not to reveal too much of a pattern. “They want to keep us confused,” Schirmer said, so we won't get too upset as we gradually get used to their presence. He felt sure they weren't hostile. They told him that he wouldn't remember most of what happened during the encounter, and that they would visit him again. Someday, Watchman, you will see the universe," one being said to him. [Quoted from the Schirmer article at url above.]

And if you still think this is all hoaxes… suffer the little children:

"African Schoolchildren See Landed UFO and Occupant (Ariel School Sighting in Ruwa, Zimbabwe).

"On 14th September, 1994, a UFO streaked across the sky over Southern Africa. Two days later, something landed in a schoolyard in Ruwa, Zimbabwe, with three or four things who had little or no exposure to TV or popular press accounts of UFOs. Cynthia Hind interviewed them the day after the encounter and made them draw pictures of what they had seen beside it, according to journalist Cynthia Hind. This was witnessed by 62 schoolchildren.

(The headmaster of the school is Mr. Colin Mackie, who was most co-operative, and although he had never been involved with UFOs or a believer in them, said that he believed the children had seen what they said they saw.)"

Some of the children:

The Landing:

The Little People:

"It Doesn't Mean Little Green Men Video:

“The consensus of opinion was that an object came down in the area where they indicated, about 100 meters from where they were at the edge of the school playing field. Then a small man (approx 1 metre in height)… The little man was dressed in a tight-fitting black suit which was 'shiny' according to one observant girl (11 years of age). He had a long scrawny neck and huge eyes like rugby balls. He had a pale face with long black hair coming below his shoulders….that he let the children draw what they had seen and he now has about 30-40 drawings, some of which are very explicit and clear, although some are rather vague. The children's' ages vary from 5/6 to 12 years. I have 22 photocopies of the clearer drawings as Mr. Mackie kindly allowed me to page through the pictures and choose those I wanted. Most of the descriptions are similar but some of the craft are very obviously 'flying saucers', and I wonder how many of these children have had access to the media. Others are crude but more or less in this saucer shape.” Quoted from this site:

http://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case127.htm

Did sixty-two children of different ages get together, forge an agreement, fool a principal…and the world? Most of us who have children know how hard that would have been.
So what is visiting us leaving footprints and mass sightings?

Where are these different small entities from --the devil or just someone down the space lane, as far as a dozens parsecs?

One more interesting item here. I read about six months ago how a journalist was following up on all of these young UFO witnesses who are now adults; he is interviewing them, and apparently they still claim this is exactly what happened. I am looking forward to his completed report.

The evidence is clear: the Universe is teaming with planets. The science is clear that our future, it we get there, holds the promise of going to the stars in ways we couldn’t have imagined, even ten years ago. The thousands of witnesses are clear, presenting us with clear evidence that some small, humanoid entities are piloting these craft…craft that seem to come here from space.
